Beyond the Voice

A little about me...

In my life before voice over, I worked as a research scientist in the area of infectious disease microbiology with my Masters of Science in Biology. More specifically, some of the areas I focused on were HIV vaccine research and clinical Lyme disease. I love the science and medical field and have a good grasp on medical terminology.

I am a mother to 3 amazing kids who helped mold some of the character voices I use today in animation and other voiceovers. You need to be lively and creative to keep with little kids and pretend play just isn't pretend play without a creature, fairy or wicked witch voice added in!

The ability to work from home in my own professional sound studio, allows me to still be present with my family while still being able to work whenever the time pops up.  I get to meet people from all over the world  making connections while doing something I truly enjoy.

My natural speaking voice has been described as youthful, textured, warm and ranges from the medium low to medium high range. However, depending on the type of work, I am able to deliver brighter and smoother vocal tone in my conversational reads. I can adapt my voice to various age ranged including children (girls and young boys), teen, young adult, and adult. Examples of a few character types I perform: whimsical fairies/princesses, evil old witches, children with or without lisps, and creature sounds.
